Training and education in the methods of farm/rural rescue are essential for proper response and safety of the rescuer and patient. Georgia Emergency Medical Services Association’s goal it to teach a systematic approach to farm rescue procedures that address the safety of both patients and responders.

Region J is committed to strengthening its communication redundancy by accessing more HAM radio operators within the region. Wayne Greene, the Vice President of the Glynn Amateur Radio Association, has agreed to host an in-person Technician level course and testing in Brunswick for our emergency managers and any others who are interested.

The Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) program is based on the principles of Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and meets the guidelines established by the Committee on Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (Co-TECC). The course teaches civilian tactical EMS; any EMS practitioner called upon to respond to a mass casualty or active shooter event.
