The FDA and CDC are warning consumers not to eat Diamond Shruumz brand chocolate bars, cones, and gummies after several reports of serious illness. These products claim to contain a proprietary blend of mushroom and the candy-like flavors may be especially appealing to teenagers and young people. So far, 12 people have had adverse reactions after consuming these products, 10 were hospitalized and some were so sick they were placed on ventilators in the ICU.

These products are distributed online and at retailers including those that that sell hemp-derived (e.g., cannabidiol [CBD], delta-8 tetrahydrocannabinol [THC]) and smoke/vape products nationwide.
