NIMS – Intermediate Incident Command System for Expanding Incidents (IS300) is a 24-hour course that describes the incident and event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the Incident Command System.
As we prepare for the 2024 Hurricane Season, the number one task during a major hurricane is to safely evacuate our patients or receive other State patients. Knowing how to use the State Evacuation and Transportation Board is key to the success of an evacuation or transfer process.
This free, one-day course features information on infectious disease trends and emerging threats, transmission routes, personal protective equipment (PPE) recommendations, infectious disease profiles, hand hygiene, PPE donning and doffing, and integration with community partners. The Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Search Procedures course introduces participants to basic, low risk search protocols. It provides participants the information needed to create a search plan for their facility or special event and allows them to perform IED searches of a facility, an area, and a route.
The Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) Detection course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to successfully and safely inspect for, identify, and/or respond to vehicle-borne explosive threats.
The Protective Measures course provides participants the foundational knowledge to identify risks and vulnerabilities to a facility, venue, or event and identify various types of protective measures to mitigate an IED threat.
