Active Shooter Preparedness Workshop

The City of Brunswick Fire Department and Emergency Management, in partnership with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), will host a free, four-hour Active Shooter Preparedness Workshop in Brunswick.

Credit: POST training credit available
CISA instructors will cover recognizing the threat, prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery. The workshop then walks through building or strengthening an Emergency Action Plan. Breakout sessions put your team in the room with other local organizations to compare notes and leave with a concrete planning framework. This is a preparedness workshop, not a tactical response course.
This workshop fits schools, healthcare facilities, houses of worship, businesses, local government, public safety agencies, and anyone responsible for emergency planning or employee safety at a public-facing site.
Seating is first come, first served. CISA requires 75 registrants for the workshop to proceed, so early registration decides whether it happens. If registration exceeds 75, we will work to seat as many participants as the room allows.
