DESCRIPTION:Glynn County EMA is partnering with FLETC and will be hosting (in-person) sessions for NIMS ICS 300 and 400. \nNIMS ICS 300 – Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents (ICS 300-HM) -3 day course\nStudents MUST have COMPLETED: IS-100c.\, IS-200c\, IS-700b and IS-800c\, and G-191\, to be able to take ICS 300 \nThis 24-hour (3 days) course provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in the ICS 100c. and ICS 200c. courses. \nIndividuals who may assume a supervisory role in incidents. Note: During a Type 3 incident\, some or all of the Command and General Staff positions may be activated\, as well as Division/Group Supervisor and/or Unit Leader level positions. Dixon\, BS\, JD\, RN\, CPHRM \nCourse Curriculum \nThe COVID-19 pandemic and multiple natural and man-made disasters over the past few years have required hospitals to activate their emergency preparedness plans. In anticipation of patient injuries due to such disasters\, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) revised the Conditions of Participation for hospitals in 2020. \nThis webinar will cover CMS regulations for a facility regarding emergency preparedness with the recent updates to include emerging infectious diseases. All covered facilities are required to have a written program to address the various natural and man-made emergencies that may impact delivery of care and patient safety. This program will cover the required elements for compliance with CMS regulations\, including mandatory testing and training of all personnel.  There will also be a brief discussion of references and resources from The Joint Commission. \nContinuing Education Credits \nThe Georgia Hospital Association Research & Education Foundation is an approved provider of nursing home administrator credits as a professional trade association in long term care under Ga. Comp.
