SUMMARY:Farm Medic and Machinery extrication course
DESCRIPTION:Agriculture is one of the most dangerous industries in America. Every year needless injuries and deaths occur to farmers\, family members\, farm employees\, and rescue personnel. Emergency responders often lack knowledge of the nature of farm machinery\, chemicals\, and farm structures. Some rescue techniques may actually increase the risk to the victim and rescue personnel. Training and education in the methods of farm/rural rescue are essential for proper response and safety of the rescuer and patient. Georgia Emergency Medical Services Association’s goal it to teach a systematic approach to farm rescue procedures that address the safety of both patients and responders. \n\n\n\nCourse Locations and Date: \n\n\n\n\nWare County – January 20 & 21\n\n\n\nForsyth County – March 9 & 10\n\n\n\n\nThe first qualified 35 students will be accepted. Applicants beyond that will be placed on a waiting list. \n\n\n\nRegister at the link provided below:https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/FARM_MEDIC \n\n\n\nThe course registration fee is Grant funded.
